Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, born into an “untouchable” caste, became a key figure in India’s first post-colonial government and inspired many by converting to Buddhism.
His life and impact will be discussed by Sanghanath, an Indian Order member from an Ambedkarite Buddhist family, who now lives in Cambridge.
The event will include a presentation, Q&A, and lunch. There will be some food provided but please feel free to bring vegan / vegetarian food to share.
Donations are welcome to help cover his travel costs.
