We warmly invite you to a morning with Sthiradeva (Dr Robert Hubbard OBE) to explore neurodivergence and the spiritual life.
We’ll look at what autism actually is, how we might recognise autistic traits, and—most importantly—what it can feel like from the inside. Together, we’ll explore both the challenges and the very real strengths that can come with neurodivergence, including autism and ADHD. We’ll also touch on how these differences can shape someone’s spiritual practice in unique and meaningful ways. For example, how integration or progress may be expressed differently, and how receiving a diagnosis can sometimes both steady and unsettle a person on their path.
Sthiradeva brings nearly fifty years of experience in autism and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). Today, he continues this lifelong commitment as a mindfulness teacher, autism friend, and coach, helping individuals, families, organisations, and spiritual communities understand neurodiversity with clarity, warmth, and compassion. He will offer grounded, practical insights into how we can build a Sangha where neurodivergent practitioners feel genuinely welcomed, understood, and supported.
The session will include the opportunity for an assessment for half an hour from 1pm.
