"The courses at Shrewsbury Triratna have given me insight into a clearer and more meaningful way of navigating everyday life."
Can we really find happiness in more and more distraction, and having ever more stuff? Buddhism tells us that this won’t work – but that there is a real happiness to be found, if we look in the right place.
On this course you will learn the two most important Buddhist meditation practices, and try out some powerful Buddhist wisdom teachings that can change the way we see the world.
Using a combination of team-teaching, small-group discussion, meditation, and practical exercises, this course gives us the tools to become more like the person we want to be.
We are offering this course on a donation basis, there is no fee to pay when booking, rather we will invite people to pay as they feel during the course. You will be able to do this either via cash or card in our bookshop.

"The introduction to Buddhism and meditation course is deeply thought provoking, and a fabulous way to connect with like-minded people who are seeking to understand their purpose in life and are keen to discover deep-rooted happiness.
My mind was always buzzing with excitement after each evening of the course. The discussions helped me to understand where I am with my life, discover which habits are helpful and not so helpful to me, and how I can improve my life.
This course and the Buddhist community in Shrewsbury are truly inspirational; I heartily recommend coming along to find out more. You will find a very warm and friendly welcome."
