Join us to celebrate the Buddha's Awakening on the full moon in May some 2,500 years ago. This is the most important date in the Buddhist calendar; it also offers us a chance to reflect on our own path and connect with the Buddha as a human being with his own history of striving.
There will be meditation, personal talks and discussion, a workshop with Ajayashraddha, ritual readings from the Buddha's Awakening story, and puja.
The day will run as follows:
10am - Arrive
10:30am - Meditation
11:15am - Break
11:30am - Three short talks from Anni, Marcus and Carolyn on the themes of "First Insights into Dukkha", "My Fourth Sight", and "Going Forth", followed by discussion groups
12:45pm - Lunch
2:15pm - Workshop with Ajayashraddha
3:15pm - Break
3:30pm - Readings from the Buddha's Enlightenment story
4pm - Buddha Puja
The day will end by 5pm.
Please feel free to drop in any time, although having a consistent presence throughout the day would be great! Please bring vegetarian or vegan food (or cakes!) to share, if possible sharing information about any allergens, e.g. gluten.
All are welcome - feel free to come for all or part of the day.
